Heart of America Prison Ministries was founded in 1995 with a mission to provide high-quality, bonded, leather-bound study Bibles to incarcerated individuals, helping them grow in their faith and walk with Christ. Over the years, we have distributed these Bibles to more than 10,000 prisoners and remain committed to expanding this ministry for Jesus.
This year, we reached a remarkable milestone by placing fifty of our top spiritual growth resources on 350,000 electronic tablets, now accessible to inmates in over 1,000 facilities through the innovative EDOVO tablet program.
Your support makes this transformative impact possible, equipping prisoners with tools for spiritual growth and preparing them for a successful reentry into society. Learn more about how you can help change lives behind bars.

Our Mission
CHANGING LIVES ONE BIBLE AT A TIME
- Heart of America Prison Ministries continues today, equipping men and women behind prison walls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and support materials, including Bibles, David’s autobiography, Jet Ride to Hell, Journey to Freedom, and our numerous discipleship books.
The friends and partners of VirtualChurchMedia.com and HeartPrisonMinistries.org pay for our complimentary ministry resources to be made available on electronic tables in more than 1,000 prison facilities and on our mobile app worldwide.
*Our primary purpose is to reach prisoners with the Gospel of Jesus Christ by distributing personal, bonded, leather Bibles to prisoners. Through our supporters, Heart Ministries has sent over 10,000 bonded leather Study Bibles to individual prisoners since 1995, and the number continues to grow.
- This year, we placed fifty of our best spiritual growth resources on 350,000 electronic tablets in prisoners’ hands through the EDOVO Tablet Program.
- Many prisoners are inside for lengthy periods, and their Bible is their most cherished and most used possession. The enemy enters prison gates with pornography and many other dangers and distractions. Heart Ministries believes we provide sturdy, durable, bonded, leather-bound Bibles that will last a lifetime and equip our brothers and sisters in prison for spiritual battle.
- This year, we made several TV programs available behind bars for prisoners on the EDOVO tablets in more than 1,100 facilities.
- EDOVO is currently the largest learning platform in the world for incarcerated people.
- 900,000+ inmates currently have access to EDOVO learning tablets.
- Heart Ministries provides prisoners with discipleship materials for spiritual growth and equips prisoners to lead their neighbors to Christ. The above Bible represents the quality of study Bibles we provide to prisoners on our Bible waiting list, which is paid for by the friends and partners of Heart of America Prison Ministries.
- We also partner from time to time with prison ministries that minister directly to the prisons and hand-deliver resource materials to the chapels, chaplains, and prisoners at events and evangelistic outreaches.

Statement of Faith
The following is a statement of our position of basic Christian doctrine
The Bible
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
In One God
We believe that one God is eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
In Jesus
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth according to the Scriptures, in His sinless life, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
In Regeneration
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of lost and sinful men.
In the Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
In the Resurrection
We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost; they are saved unto the resurrection of life and lost unto the resurrection of eternal separation from God (or damnation).

Lives Transformed
I wanted to let you know I received my beautiful Bible. Thank you so much for your faithfulness to all of us incarcerated. As Jesus said in Matthew 25, In as much as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me. May God continue to bless all of you at HEART of America as you continue to reach out and touch the world with the love of Jesus.
It begin to thank you for this beautiful Bible. I love it! And I really love the historical notes and the way it is illustrated through and through. This may sound crazy, but I think it means more to me because of the wait. I don’t know, but it seems almost like I grew into it. Please let the people whose donations and time were spent making this possible know that I really appreciate it and that I will be adding them to my prayer list. I hope one day to be able to help someone the way you have helped me, not only with this Bible, but also with your letters over the years. You have given me a great gift.
